Concrete Waterproofing
Waterproofing concrete is a very technical process that takes a very high attention to detail. In order to make a surface waterproof or impervious to water it is necessary to create a bathtub like surface that directs any water to predetermined drains or area’s to run off.
The correct application of every aspect of repairs, primer coats, base coats and wear coats are very critical to the proper function of the waterproofing system. Cracks and joints need very special attention paid to their design and installation as they also need to be waterproof.
Waterproofing Process
Area’s needing waterproofing like parking garages, mechanical rooms, chemical rooms and any exterior concrete surface create the need for systems to be field designed to fit each use. Typically we specify an epoxy primer coupled with a urethane base coat and one or two urethane traffic coats with grit depending on the type and frequency of traffic.
